A friend of mine, Joe, was livid. He was fed up with how Sam, his coworker, treated him.
“I’m telling you, Mike. He goes out of his way to be rude and mean to me.”
How so?
“Well, just yesterday he did _____. And the other day he tells me _____. He’s always talking behind my back….”
It was a pretty good rant and could have lasted awhile.
Some people are like Pigpen from Peanuts. There is this cloud that follows them around. If you get too close, you’ll get dusty. If you let them in your house or car, you’ll get dusty. If you let them in your life, you’ll get dusty.
Sam’s attitude, his rudeness, his meanness follows him around like a cloud of dust. Anyone who gets too close is going to get caught up in the cloud. Yet, you and I will convince ourselves that it is “all about me”. It not about us. Sam couldn’t care less about us. We just happen to get too close to the cloud.

i have this person in my life who thinks they never do anything wrong to hurt me as a matter of fact when they apologize they always say “if i’ve done anything to hurt you i am sorry.” they are always telling why i should not be friends with this person or that person. its a cycle that has repeated itself for almost 2 decades.
